Seed Library
We're excited to be launching our Seed Library! If you've never saved seeds before and don't know where to start, don't worry, we can help. We've already rolled out some training via Gaia Foundation and doing more with them over the course of the coming year. If you would like to attend some training, get in touch with us and we'll help make that happen.

Seed saving is a complex skill. And here is why it's important: there are currently no Scottish producers of vegetable seed, our veg seeds all come from Europe. They are not cultivated in similar climates and we are therefore not very well protected from extreme weather events, agriculturally. We want to help vegetables evolve here, and preserve Scottish varieties. But we also want to bring on extra seed in Lochwinnoch which we can share across a network of Scottish Seed Libraries.

We want to hear from you if...

-
You want to be a member of our library and access free vegetable seeds.
-
You want to help us save seeds and stock our library, or if you already have some seeds to share with us.
-
You are interested in Seed Saving training.
-
You are involved with another Seed Library which could partner with us.
-
You have some land you would like us to use for growing seed crops which we could support

You can apply to our seed library here.
