About the event
Bethany graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2016 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. After graduating Bethany worked as a Physiotherapist within different areas of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, gaining experience across various departments.
Following this she successfully accepted a static position in the Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team within the NHS, where she currently works. As part of her role, she assesses and treats patients during their antenatal and post-natal period with musculoskeletal and pelvic health dysfunction. She also works with patients with pelvic pain, menopause, prolapse, urinary incontinence, bowel issues, bladder issues and post operation for gynaecology surgeries.
Bethany strives to make every patient that walks into her clinic room feel reassured about their symptoms and empowered about achieving their goals. Bethany is determined to break down barriers that are placed on women, whether its limitations in exercise or daily life. She aims to improve function and quality of life in every single patient.
Setting and achieving goals is vital to Bethany’s work. Goals such as being able to run without leaking, enjoy a day out with the grandchildren without worrying where the nearest toilet is or having pain free intercourse.
As well as this, Bethany has completed APPI training for Pilates and runs successful classes in Lochwinnoch. She is a member of the CSP and is HCPC registered.
