About the event
Explore the fascinating worlds of foraging and cyanotype printing during this nourishing springtime workshop. You'll not only take home a beautiful deep blue botanical cyanotype print—referred to as a "sun print"—but also an enhanced appreciation for nature, sustainable practices, and the remarkable potential of weeds.
Discover the sustainable historic photographic technique of cyanotype printing, which produces prints without a camera. As the prints develop under the sunlight, we'll venture outdoors for an exciting foraging expedition, where you'll learn about sustainable foraging practices and the incredible health benefits of weeds such as dandelion, self-heal, wild garlic, and more.
Guided by experienced artists and permaculturists, participants will learn the basics of foraging and cyanotype printing, making it an ideal experience for beginners, while still offering valuable insights for those more advanced in either art or foraging. Join us for a day filled with creativity, exploration, and connection with nature.
