About the event

Over four workshops you will design and create a large-scale carnival puppet lantern, that will be illuminated to parade through the streets on Halloween. The workshops will cover techniques of sculpting with willow and paper.

Jane McInally is an artist specialising in public artworks and events.  Previous work includes Paisley Halloween & Sma’ Shot parades, Glasgow Smile Mile Christmas parades, Commonwealth Games Baton Relay, Falkirk New Year Fire & Light events, and Glasgow Merchant City Festivals.

Workshops are suitable for people over the age of 16.

We are offering these four lantern making workshops where you can learn this amazing skills from accomplished artist Jane McInally. This is offered as part of our Feel Good Festival Halloween Parade events which will bring together the best of visual arts, dance and music that Lochwinnoch has to offer. The theme for this year's parade is Scottish Mythology and Folklore and we will be parading in Lochwinnoch on Halloween night -  see event details here. We have also been invited to take it on tour to Paisley Halloween festival Saturday 26th October.
